Summary

Course Objective: Building on foundational knowledge within our introductory course, this course aims to help banks apply a nature-responsible approach to banking, reducing negative impacts on nature and moving towards positive contributions.

Learners can expect to:

  1. Identify how a bank’s financing activities impact nature and assess high-impact sectors in a loan portfolio
  2. Recognize nature-related dependencies, risks, and opportunities within the portfolio
  3. Set nature-related targets aligned with PRB guidance
  4. Develop strategies to mitigate risks, enhance opportunities, and disclose relevant information to stakeholders

Why This Matters: Nature loss threatens economic and financial stability, with natural capital declining by 40% in two decades. This course helps banks understand their role in addressing these risks and supports more responsible financing to halt and reverse nature loss.
