Sustainable Finance Education Charter

Resource Summary

This resource presents an overview of the Sustainable Finance Education Charter and its activities, a forum for sustainability action by international chartered and professional bodies engaged in global capacity-building. The initiative aims to improve finance professionals’ sustainability-related skills and expertise to support green and sustainable finance policy delivery, and build the capacity and capabilities of the organisations they work for/with. It covers the accounting, actuarial science, audit, banking, insurance, investment, risk management and treasury sectors. This document outlines key objectives which Charter signatories have committed to, accomplished and continue to work towards since the Charter was established in 2020. It also sets out milestones achieved, and progress made by the signatories collectively and individually for the period January to December 2023.
