This resource forms part of the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) ‘Workshops in a Box’ series which contains materials that inform and educate on the voluntary GFANZ Net-zero Transition Plan (NZTP) framework. The presentations contain the information needed for trainers to hold workshops with minimal preparation and can be held independently of each other. This specific material covers the ‘Foundations’ theme of the NZTP framework. This theme looks at the rationale for clarifying the foundation of a NZTP and the associated recommendations and guidance on setting objectives and priorities. It sets out the importance of defining the organisation’s objectives with clear scope, prioritised areas, and measurable targets & timelines. Those objectives and priority components, as defined by the organisation, can then serve as the grounding basis and high-level roadmap for internal stakeholders to align to as they develop plans to execute net zero commitments at a practical level.
